Private, Customizable Historical Tours
Michael offers small private or group tours for 1-14 people throughout all of Northern France. Many of our guests enjoy visiting landmarks in Normandy where their family members may have fought, or the Meuse-Argonne to learn how history unfolded during World War I. Here are some of our most common tours to give an idea of what is possible during a historical tour with us. Please email Michael personally for more information or to get started planning your visit to France.
Normandy Historical Tour Sample Itineraries
Normandy beach tours
These tours are the heart and soul of what we do. Michael has years of experience and a library of knowledge to give tourgoers an in-depth look on the Normandy invasion of WWII. Our famous stopping points include Longues-sur-Mer, Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Point du Hoc, Colleville Ameriecan Cemetery, and Vierville.
Normandy battlefield Tours
Many people are drawn to touring the beaches of Normandy, but there are many more stories to be told inland…and we do that by visiting the towns and battlefields that tell that story. Our favorite stops include: Carentan, la Cambe German Cemetery, Carentan, and the Falaise Pocket.
Normandy Airborne Tours
For the aviation fans, we will customize a tour to highlight the drop zones of the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions. Our typical stops during our airborne tours include Angoville au Plain, Ste. Mere Eglishe, the Church and Airborne Museum and Sain Com du Mont.
Normandy in the early to middle ages (the Dukes of Normandy)
Take 1-2 days visiting castles and churches along the Seine River and learn what life was like during the reign of the Dukes. Some of our favorites on this tour include La Roche Guyon, Chateau Gaillard, and the Bayeux Cathedral.

Meuse-Argonne & Marne Historical Tour Sample Itinerary
Battlefield Tours of WW1
Michael grew up playing in the trenches of Verdun, St. Mihiel, and the fortresses of Metz, and every time he takes guests through these regions, you can see the sparkle in his eye going back to his youth. This part of France may not be as visited as other regions, but the scenery is gorgeous and history still alive. Follow in the footsteps of Sgt. York, walk along the United States first Tank Corps Battle, go to the fields where Rin Tin Tin was found as a starving puppy, visit the beautiful Monument at Montsec, and stay at the legendary Castle of Belle Skinner atop Vigneulles. We’ve got too much to write for this tour—its our favorite!

In the footsteps of the Red Baron WW1 Aviation Tour
We like to start this tour in Paris visiting the National Air Museum and the Lafayette Escadrille Monument (among a few other optional museums), then head to Amiens to relive the last flight pattern of the Red Barron in a private plane. Its quite a site being able to see battlefields from the air! We like to reserve 2 days for this tour to allow plenty of time at the Museums.
